Uranium
In August 2009 Carbon Energy announced its intention to spin off its uranium interests into a separate listed entity, thereby being able to realise the potential underlying value of these assets. On the 24th December 2009 the IPO for the uranium interests was successfully completed with listing on the Australian Stock Exchange of Energia Minerals (ASX code EMX). The IPO for Energia Minerals raised $7.5 million and was oversubscribed. The offer was widely supported by Carbon Energy shareholders, who accounted for 85% of the offering. CNX also retains a 42% shareholding in EMX.
